Gunman opens fire in a high-rise building killing two people and injuring six.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES (NOVEMBER 6, 2009) NBC- Two people were killed and six injured by a gunman who opened fire in a high-rise office building in Orlando, Florida on Friday (November 6).
The Orlando Sentinel newspaper and local TV networks reported that two people had been killed.

Police evacuated the Gateway Center high-raise and said the gunman was still at large.

Gery Kilgo, an employee at a law firm in the high-rise said she was standing at the elevator when a colleague ran up to her and told her to get back to the office and lock the door.

"You see it on TV but when it happens, it is so surreal. You just don't think it is going to happen where you are, Kilgo said.

The Orlando Sentinel said bodies were found on the 12th and 8th floors of the building.

The suspected gunman was reported to be a former employee of a company with offices in the building.
