Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt better get a lot of sleep ahead of the arrival
of their twin babies is the advice of one father of twins visiting in Nice, a
town that is slowly transforming into the land of the paparazzi after the
famous actress checked into a local hospital there.
NICE, FRANCE (JULY 3, 2008) REUTERS -
One day after the Lenval Hospital in Nice confirmed actress
Angelina Jolie would give birth to twins in the "coming weeks", news
and media outlets, along with the paparazzi have descended on the French
Riviera in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the Hollywood actress or the
comings and goings of her superstar husband Brad Pitt.
Outside the hospital, dozens of news crews and photographers, suffering
through heat and humidity, ran between different entrances when a 'black van'
was spotted. The van has been ferrying Pitt between the four-room body-guarded
suites at the hospital and the couple's estate in nearby Correns.
At the Cour Saleya market, about a kilometre from the hospital,
business continues as usual with fruit and vegetable vendors selling their
goods. Morris and Jillian Jameson, on holiday from Scotland with their twin
baby girls, said they have some advise for the celebrity parents.
"Get some sleep," said Morris.
"One is kind of tough going the first time, but lots of sleep,
that's what I would say to them," he added.
Grit Elster from Denmark questions Brad and Angelina's choice of Nice
for having the twins.
"If they want to have their privacy and they want to give birth
alone, then maybe Nice isn't the best place," she said.
As the paparazzi continue circling around the Lenval hospital in the
never-ending search for the 'black van' , Vivian from New Zealand says the
hype is a bit much. She has a message for the the paparazzi.
"Just let her have a baby in peace!"
