Man impersonating Mexican national soccer coach Sven-Goran Eriksson fools
security officials.

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (JULY 16, 2008) TELEVISA -
The Mexican football federation warned clubs to be wary after a
Sven-Goran Eriksson lookalike was given a tour around the University Stadium,
the home stadium to team Los Pumas in Mexico City this week.
Derek Williams, a British actor, fooled security officials and Los
Pumas coach Ricardo Ferretti after claiming he was there to watch some players
before making his first team selection. According to local media reports, he
had previously sent false documents from the federation to gain access to the
club.
He was flanked by two models wearing tight black dresses and high
heels.
The federation issued a statement that read:
"At the moment the real Eriksson is in the United States. The
person claiming to be him is only a lookalike. This shows a complete lack of
respect."
He then posed for photographs and gave a statement to journalists
fooling them into believing he was the real Eriksson.
"Many good players, it is good situation to be. Thank
you."
He added:
"We will have many times to discuss where Mexico will go, we will
see."
The former England manager was named the new Mexico coach in June after
leaving Premier League club Manchester City.
The Swede, the first foreigner to coach England, replaced Hugo Sanchez
who was fired in March after the Under-23 team, which he also coached, failed
to qualify for the Beijing Olympics.
