Why Use Game Cheats On The Nintendo Wii?
Author: Mark Dale

As more and more games are released on the Nintendo Wii and the
popularity of the console increases significantly, the number of
game cheat codes we see available also increases. However,
should game cheats be seen a bad or good thing? Let's examine
the main reasons why gamers use game cheats for the Nintendo
Wii, so that you can decide for yourself if you should use them
or not.

Nintendo created the Wii console for an audience that was
growing increasingly alienated by the difficult game play and
complexity of many of newer breed of video and computer games.
More and more often, new games have turned into film like
sequences where player's can only follow fixed paths and perform
limited tasks. Although often beautiful looking, these video
games lose much of the entertainment, skill, and fun that was
evident in traditional style games.

What computer and video game producers saw as the latest state
of the art games, others saw as a huge step backwards in game
play and interactivity. The Nintendo Wii was specifically
designed to solve these constraints by bringing fun and
interactivity back in to the gaming market. They actually took
this interactivity to a level that had never been seen before
and have attracted a whole new breed of gamers.

Never before had gamers been so involved in the game play, and
for the first time people actually had to get off their sofas to
play their video games. The Wii has revolutionized the world of
computer and video gaming. However, it was inevitable that this
new revolution would soon get bombarded by Wii cheat codes for
anyone that wanted them.

So what are game cheats for Wii?

Game cheats are special sequences of codes that you can get off
the Internet, or from gaming magazines. You can then enter the
codes into your Wii console. These codes then allow you to gain
special abilities within a game, or even bypass certain sections
or levels of a game altogether.

Why game cheats can be a bad thing

Wii cheat codes can take much of the fun out of Wii games. This
is because the gamer will miss the whole purpose of what it
means to play games the way they are meant to be played. Games
on a Wii are based upon interaction between the player and the
game, so using cheats to try and get an false advantage just so
you can finish a game faster is something that true game players
should not ever do. It can ruin a game and takes most of the
entertainment and challenge out of it. If you abuse Wii game
cheats for this purpose then you will miss out on many skills
and challenges that Nintendo designed the Wii to do. Not only
that, but video games can be expensive so cheating to finish a
game sooner is wasting your hard earned cash.

When are game cheats good?

All gamers at some point have been stuck on a level of game
that they just cannot get past. You may only be half way through
the game and no matter how hard you try you just cannot get to
next stage. In these occasions, a game cheat can assist you to
finish the level before carrying on without using the cheat,
therefore allowing you to get much more game play than otherwise
possible.

Think before you cheat!

Wii video games are designed with player interaction in mind,
so cheating to get an unfair advantage is kind of missing the
point. It really makes no sense to start punching in cheat codes
just for the sake of it, because by removing the skill and
interaction from a game you have nothing left.

It's best to avoid using cheat codes on the Wii if you can, but
every now and again it's worth using a code if you get really
stuck and just need a bit of help with a tricky level or baddie.
Cheating just because you can takes all the fun away!
