Actress Winona Ryder was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after
falling ill on a flight from Los Angeles to London. The medical visit is being
called a "precautionary measure" and the 37 year old actress was
quickly discharged. Her spokeswoman says that Ryder is in good health.

People magazine has named Australian Hugh Jackman as its Sexiest Man
Alive. The new title happens to coincide with the release of his latest film,
Australia. The film stars Nicole Kidman alongside Jackman and is directed by
Baz Luhrmann - a cast and crew of native Australians. It is the first movie
in seven years from Luhrmann, and he aimed to create a film that will become
part of Australian film history. The movie premiered this week in
Australia

Jennifer Garner has obtained a court order protecting herself from a
man she believes is endangering her family. According to TMZ.com, Garner says
the man has been harassing her since 2002, but in the last year "his
obsessive and harassing behavior has escalated to the point of becoming
dangerous and threatening." A judge issued a temporary restraining order
earlier this month and there's a hearing Thursday to make the order
permanent.

Singer/songwriter Taylor Swift is sitting pretty on top of the
album charts. Her sophomore album, Fearless, debuted in the top slot with
sales over 500,000. This is the largest opening U.S. sales week in 2008 by a
female artist, and the fourth biggest overall, behind Lil Wayne, AC/DC and
Coldplay. Fearless is the biggest country digital album debut ever since those
sales have been counted.
