2 Natural Remedies For Acne
Author: Jason Parker

Looking for natural acne cures you can make at home? Can an
organic remedy be more effective than top-of-the-line products?

#1. Tea Tree Oil

Essential oil extract from the leaves of the Australian
Melaleuca Alternifolia Tree effectively remedies even the worst
cases of teen and adult acne. For ages, the knowledgeable have
resorted to this tea tree oil because its powerful
anti-fungal/anti-bacterial and anti-viral qualities have been
absolutely proven to fight breakouts.

Apply the extract to even lesions and it'll work. This tree oil
eliminates Propionibacterium, the bacteria that produces acne. A
component within the remedy known as Terpinen-4-Ol is the main
substance among the extract's antibacterial abilities. (Note:
aside from acne, the same tree oil is used for remedying body
odor, athlete's foot, cold sores, and bad breath.)

The tea tree oil is a better alternative to applying benzoyl
peroxide. In comparison to benzoyl peroxide, using tea tree
extract poses lesser side effects. Benzoyl peroxide often has
the side effects of itching, burning, and dryness.

If planning to try the tea tree oil for curing your acne, there
are products available that contain the ingredients. One of
which being the well-known Acnezine.

As it is a potent substance, tea tree oil must be diluted
before application. Too much will cause skin irritation,
redness, itching, and even blistering. Note also, that tea tree
oil isn't suitable for all types of skin.

If you're once of many who has highly sensitive skin, you must
be very cautious in applying tea tree oil for your natural acne
remedy. For those with sensitive skin, you'll want to begin with
a very mild dosage, and only test it on a small section of your
face. If your skin becomes irritated, you need to lower the
dosage. If yet still the tea tree oil causes aggravation, it's
highly recommended that you use another treatment.

Of course, before using any type of remedy, it's recommended
that you consult your dermatologist first.

#2. Abnormal Amount of Water Intake

As funny as it may sound to you, water is one of the most
powerful natural acne remedies. Not just your normal intake of
water, but amounts of water beyond quenching your thirst.

As the most viral nutrient, water comprises of around 60% of
your body. Water helps with detoxification of toxins that cause
acne to break out within your body. Women should drink approx. 8
to 10 glasses of water per day, while men 12 to 18 glasses.
Since water keeps your kidneys and liver functioning correctly
(these organs flush waste), this is essential.

If there were one remedy I would suggest for curing acne, it's
water. While water will not magically take away the symptoms of
your developed acne, it will prevent more acne from arising.
Drink no beverages such as juice or soft drinks, even if they
may contain water. The more water you drink, the faster your
acne will dissipate.

Drink water in the mornings upon awaking. Drink a glass of
water for every caffeinated beverage (caffeine dehydrates). Keep
a glass or bottle of water nearby no matter where you are,
whether work, home, or school. Drink water whenever you
exercises.

If you're suffering from acne problems, I recommend you drink
at least 3 liters of water per day. One practice you can begin
doing is buy 2 liter jugs of water and make sure one and a half
are drank each day, then refil; them the following morning and
repeat.
