I shouldn't be alive.

Well, that's actually not me, but a Reality TV series
and the people who are featured in it.

Why am I telling you this?

On a recent episode I watched a couple and their baby
survive in the snow for more than 7 days without food,
water and shelter.

I saw the father walk tens of miles for days in the snow
in search of help for him and his family. He denied himself
any rest or sleep until he found help.

The only way he was going to stop is if he could no longer
walk.

There was this woman who after losing her partner overboard
ha*d to struggle alone for many days on the rough seas.

There is the story of the a*dventurer who remained for
about forty hours pinned under a volcanic rock while his
frien*d searched for help

These are stories of people who faced incredible odds and
emerged victorius on the other side to inspire us.

Makes you think, huh?

It certainly ma*de me realize how often I complain about
trivial
things.

How often I give up when faced with odds not even close to
those
faced by these heroes.
