In-Depth Look on Policy Making
PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 29, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- As globalization continues
to move around the world, people are already feeling the high cost of
life as well as the deterioration of nature and the environment. The
cost of fuel is much higher today. The debate over energy continues to
go on with no end in sight. People could only wonder how long nature
can sustain life in the faces of pollution and global warming. To
learn more about the heated debate concerning energy and climate
control, readers must follow the views of author Marion Hopkins Harris
as she presents her detailed study in her compelling new book The
Public Debate Over Energy and Climate Control: An Overview of Public
Policymaking in American Government.
Looking closely at the enduring dialogue between the White House and
Congress over how energy and climate control is to be managed, The
Public Debate Over Energy and Climate Control explains to readers the
process for legislating and regulating energy policies in the American
government. The author shares with readers her views over the issues
being debated, including the government's options for tackling both
conservation and environmental concerns, the most effective ways for
reducing pollution, dependence on foreign oil as well as research and
development programs that could pave the way for renewable energy. Not
only that, the book also lays out a conceptual framework for
understanding public policy making, vested interests, concerns with
foreign economies, the effects of future programs on the economy and
more.
Richly-layered and very detailed, The Public Debate Over Energy and
Climate Control is a true wake up call that will arouse the interest
of readers. This book is bound to attract a lot of readers, especially
