View Article  Fwd: World AIDS Day 2005
Of the 40 million people living with HIV/AIDS worldwide, 95 percent
live in the developing world. Not coincidentally, the people hardest
hit by the global AIDS pandemic are often the same people who lack
access to basic healthcare and education, and are wracked by hunger
and malnutrition.

At NetAid, we recognize that fighting global poverty and HIV/AIDS are
one and the same battle. That's why this World AIDS Day, we are
working with young people from the U.S. to Uganda to tackle AIDS and
poverty together. Whether it's coming up with an awareness-raising
campaign like young NetAid leaders or assisting AIDS-affected
communities in the field, you have a role to play. Find out what it
is.

Kimberly Hamilton, President

Putting HIV/AIDS on the Map

Documentaries. Soccer games. Assemblies. Around the country, high
school leaders in the NetAid Global Citizen Corps are leading
