Well, will you? JumboTron pops the question
My Style Wedding promotes Times Square romance
NEW YORK, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ - 'Will you marry me?' A brand new company called My Style Wedding is posing this question on the JumboTron electronic billboard in Manhattan's Times Square, on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of couples that get engaged every Christmas and New Year's.
The age-old question is the attention grabber on the opening screen of the 30-second commercial for My Style Wedding's revolutionary 3D, interactive wedding planning software. The software was recently released for sale on the company's www.mystylewedding.com website. It was also featured at Lord & Taylor's Fifth Avenue store and several New York area Bloomingdale's outlets.
The software was spotted by Genesys Broadcasting Corporation, advertisers of the JumboTron above the Good Morning America studios of the ABC Television network, who invited My Style Wedding to create the commercial to run nine times a day between December 19 and January 1. A majority of engagements take place on Christmas and New Year's Day with December recording about 18 percent of the annual count of about 2.4 million engagements in the U.S.
Morgan Phillips, innovator of the unique wedding software, said, "We want to help out this great, romantic location with our commercial. What more memorable place to get engaged than Times' Square? And this electronic commercial is perfect to showcase the color and drama of our 3D software. It only takes 30 seconds to prove this is the only wedding planner that can generate a New York style of excitement."
Mrs. Phillips says the cost of renting space on this expensive and large video screen in the square, is well worth the exposure of the commercial to an estimated million and a half pedestrians a day plus the hundreds of millions who watch the televised dropping of the ball in Times Square on New Year's Eve. "A glimpse of our commercial will be enough to wow many of these people with our product," said Mrs. Phillips. "And this is part of an extensive marketing plan to reach couples throughout the world."
The commercial for My Style Wedding shows several three dimensional, interactive wedding ceremonies, reception and party venue scenes that can be created and customized, enabling couples to carry out the vision: 'Dream it. Plan it. Live it.'
"It's a simple but dramatic commercial with brief, memorable images to catch the attention of pedestrians and television viewers," said Mrs. Phillips. She adds she expects some New Yorker and tourist couples to ask the question 'for real', under the dazzling billboard and, when they do, she wants them to turn to her My Style Wedding software to plan their weddings.
With an average wedding costing more than a full sized car, the suggested list price of the unique 3D, interactive wedding planner is only $39.95 until New Year's Day. My Style Wedding can be downloaded or ordered on disk from www.mystylewedding.com and will be available at other select locations. An introductory planning version without 3D is also available at $19.95.
