OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 2005--A new Web site where
family, friends, businesses and organizations, can collect, share and
distribute, cherished recipes in a single location is now available.
Called eFamilyCookbook.com (http://www.efamilycookbook.com), the site
offers an online 'gathering place' where private cookbooks become
online family albums and can be created, stored and easily accessed by
individuals and groups.

"Besides photos and memories, what do we have from the past and
present to pass on to our descendents? So much of our 'food' heritage
has been lost," says eFamilyCookbook creator Peter Brown. "I created
the site because I wanted an easy way to preserve our family recipes.
This is a site where families can save and organize recipes for future
generations to enjoy and, more importantly, to remember."

For an annual membership fee of $39.95 an individual can create an
account and invite family or friends to contribute recipes in a
private, customized cookbook. The recipe ingredients and any special
notes are entered into an easy to use form; there are four
professionally designed templates to choose from for viewing and
printing the recipes.

Users can add text about the history or special significance of a
recipe or the person who created it, or offer wine or food pairing
ideas. There is also the option to decorate your site with photographs
of the food, historical family photos, or even scanned handwritten
recipe cards. Members are able to create special sections that relate
to their specific organizational plan, by food type, year created or
other criteria.

According to Brown, the site will not include advertising or
cross-linking so members will not be barraged with pop-up ads or other
unsolicited marketing messages.

"This is a truly unique birthday or holiday gift, and would add a most
meaningful element to a family reunion or church homecoming event,"
adds Brown. "It's really fun to watch the collection grow, and to see
how integral home cooked food is to the memories of our lives. And if
you love to cook like I do, trying new recipes and revisiting old
favorites is the best part of all."
