How Writer's Earn Money Here: Writers at Mpelembe Network earn money from Google AdSense advertising. You must be an adsense publisher in order to be paid for writing here. Each time you post an article, that article has your AS publisher ID embedded into the AdSense blocks on the article page. Each time visitors click ads in those blocks, it will automatically be credited to your adsense account. You earn from Ad Blocks only, not the link units or search tool. The more posts you make, the more chances you have to earn income. 100 different posts/pages will generate more visitors and clicks than 10 will, and 10 will likely generate more than 1. So more writing equals more potential earnings.
How Mpelembe Network Benefits Writers:
This site has been established since 2001, so it is considered "aged" by search engines. It is also considered a hub, and is listed as a Google News Source. These are extremely important points for authors, because it means you can get quite a bit of people and search engine attention to your work. As a Google News Source, your material could end up being published on the front page of the Google News site. This is fantastic for your portfolio of course, and also fantastic for your earnings potential. Not just on this site either. With a bit of time and consistently great material, you will establish a name and reputation for yourself that can equate to even more earnings and opportunities in the future.
Without being updated, this site generates an average of 1000 visitors each day. When news and articles are posted regularly, that quickly jumps up above 1000 each day. With multiple writers contributing excellent materials frequently, this site will quickly become a major news destination site, generating tens of thousands of visitors each day.
You're also able to concentrate on your love: Writing great material. We will handle all of the technical details such as hosting, web design and search engine optimization. We'll handle comment spam, customer support, partner support, and advertising. Just like any mainstream magazine, we'll handle the big stuff. All you have to do is write. Beginner/Unpublished writers are welcome.
Style and Topic Guidelines

Style/Market: Novice, Enthusiasts, Hobbiests, Business Professionals.

- NOT software, server, web tools.
This is a magazine-style publication, with a bit of "blog" flair. We want writing with personality: your opinions, personal style and voice are welcome, but we want it professional. We will not publish extreme, rude, vulgar, offensive, slanderous, or other "in your face" type submissions.
Content: News summaries/round ups, commentary, opinion, reviews, product info, new products, product comparisons, how to articles, what is articles, other related articles.
Articles can be as short as 150 words, or long feature-style pieces with thousands of words. In-depth articles - particularly reviews - should include photographs if available, and photo credits are mandatory.
Liberal quotes from, and links to, other publications is encouraged. This is especially useful when summarizing news items, and can be used for review overviews or collective commentary and opinion pieces from around the web. Please review our archives to get an idea of how these are done. ALWAYS credit any sources used.
Submission Formatting: TEXT only please. HTML is allowed sparingly, and only things such as bold, italics, underlines, and blockquotes. Do NOT add fonts, styles, or other HTML information to your submissions. Do NOT use "smart quotes", symbols or other junk charactors such as those included in MS Word documents. Do NOT put line breaks into your submissions. Do NOT put paragraph tags. Hit enter twice to create a blank line, and paragraphs will be automatically created.
If we have to consistently do a lot of clean up on your submissions, we will stop publishing them.
Rights, Rules and Terms
Duplicate Submissions: If more than one writer submits an article on the same topic - i.e. A new product release - and the submissions are significantly different, we will publish both pieces. (Assuming guidelines are adhered to of course). If the pieces are quite similar however, the first submission will be published and the duplicate discarded. This issue can be avoided by making every effort to include your own commentary, opinions, and research/resources.
Payment: AdSense advertising. You must be an adsense publisher in order to be paid for writing here. You will not receive payment directly from us. Each time you post an article, that article has your AS publisher ID embedded into the AdSense blocks on the article page. This site is run in magazine style, not "blog" style. All new submissions go into a queue to be reviewed by an editor. All submissions are subject to title changes and other editing as we see fit. Editorial changes to your submission will not remove your AdSense publisher ID from your articles.
