Elizabeth Taylor is one of the greatest and most famous
Hollywood actresses of the twentieth century. Born February 27,
1932 in England, the British-American was an actress even as a
child, she was just 3 years old when she started taking ballet
lessons and starring in her first lead role in the movie
National Velvet at a young age of twelve. The movie was a huge
success and went on to gross over $4 million at the box office.

Even with a busy schedule she managed to attend school on the
set and graduated from Los Angeles High School. Soon after that
she got married at just 18 years old. During her long career she
went through 7 times.

She became the highest paid star of the her time in 1963, when
she received a sum of $1 million to play the role of Cleopatra,
a 20th Century Fox production. Elizabeth Taylor also appeared on
various television shows and made for television movies. She had
small roles or guest appearances on North and South, These Old
Broads, General Hospital, All My Children and The Simpsons. She
also starred in television movies such as, Malice in Wonderland
and Divorce His - Divorce Hers.

She has become one of the greatest icons of the twentieth
century, being one of those people for whom celebrity seems to
be in their blood. She lived her entire life in the public eye,
from its lofty ups to the most depressed downs. From childhood
to youth to middle age to old age, Elizabeth Taylor was never
far from the spotlight, commanding one of the most magnetic
presences ever known.

In her long and illustrious career, Elizabeth Taylor has also
been known to take up some other interests. She has long had a
passion for jewelry, and this fascination, as well as her large
collection, was the subject of the book My Love Affair with
Jewelry (2002). And in 2005, Elizabeth Taylor introduced the
House of Taylor Jewelry, in partnership with Jack and Monty
Abramov of Mirabelle Luxury Concepts.

Another of her interests that lead to a resounding success was
an interest in perfumes. In 1991, Elizabeth designed and
released a perfume she called White Diamonds. Over the
succeeding years and up to the present, Elizabeth Taylor's White
Diamonds has been one of the top ten best selling fragrances in
the world. Her three perfumes Passion, Black Pearls, and White
Diamonds alone are estimated to earn two hundred million dollars
in annual sales!

The success of White Diamonds lies in its elegant and beautiful
formulation. Being a combination of floral scents as well as
woody tones, the famous scent is perfect for a lady's evening
out on the town. Elizabeth Taylor has since released other
scents as well, but by far White Diamonds is the most successful
and well-known.

The world will remember Elizabeth Taylor as many things. She is
commonly considered to be one of the most beautiful women ever
to grace the screen. A supporter of various causes, a lover of
life, and an eternal celebrity, Elizabeth Taylor is not likely
