Morgan Spurlock goes on the hunt for Osama Bin Laden in follow up to
"Super Size Me".

Four years after his hit documentary "Super Size Me," film
maker Morgan Spurlock returns with "Where in the World is Osama Bin
Laden."
Inspired by the impending birth of his first child, Spurlock was
compelled to create a safer world and find the man behind 9/11.
He sets out to tour the Middle East and other regions in search of one
of the most wanted men on earth.
Said Spurlock, "I live in New York City and like most New Yorkers
we want to know the answer to that question. You know, why had we not found
Osama Bin Laden and where is he? So in 2005 Bush had just been re-elected and
Osama had just released a new tape, it was on every news channel, and the
newscasters were like 'why haven't we caught him, why has he not been brought
to justice, where in the world is Osama Bin Laden?' and I said that's a great
question, I want to know that too so that was a jumping off point for the
movie."
Spurlock's search takes him from New York City to countries like Egypt,
Morocco, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Pakistan in his search for Bin
Laden. Along the way he meets men on the street, clerics, women in burkhas and
journalists.
Spurlock's serious subject takes on a breezy irreverence saved for
comedies.
Said Spurlock, "We take this issue of terrorism, Osama Bin Laden,
the war on terror and we make it something that's a little palatable, a little
easier to understand, a little more engaging and some people would say you
can't really find humor in this, why is this funny and Lily Tomlin, a great
comedian and actress said years ago she said 'we have to find humor in
everything because when you find humor you find humanity,' and in this movie
there is a tremendous amount of humanity."
Spurlock says he wants to make films that are non-confrontational.
"What I'm trying to make films that don't polarize and issue or
polarize people, I want to make films that are for everybody, not a Red State
or Blue State movie or a Republican or Democratic film, I want to make films
everyone can benefit from and hopefully get something out of."
"Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden" opens in theaters
across America on April 18th.
