Former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff feels the love of his fans during a visit to Germany to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

BERLIN, GERMANY - Even David Hasselhoff appeared taken aback by the number of fans that waited to greet him in Germany.

The American actor and singer was in Berlin to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

'The Hoff' seemed overwhelmed when he arrived at his hotel to be met by the screaming crowd.

Hasselhoff shot to fame after his roles in the television series 'Knight Rider' and 'Baywatch', but it was his song 'Looking for Freedom,' that really touched a chord with his German audience.

The song became a hit overnight and stayed number one for eight weeks.

In 1989, Hasselhoff belted out his anthem on top of the partly demolished Wall at the Brandenburg Gate - an image that many remember from the celebrations.
