Wi-FiTV.com Introduced Live Chat Visible to All Viewers
NEWPORT BEACH, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 09/06/06 -- Traditional TV has been losing viewers to the Internet, and now old fashioned over-the-air and cable TV is adopting a concept introduced on the www.Wi-FiTV.com (PINKSHEETS: WTVN) website which offers members live, interactive TV over the Internet.
Wi-Fi TV has a Live Chat feature that allows viewers to post messages during shows which can be viewed by all Wi-Fi TV members watching a particular program. Now comes word in Business Week Magazine (Sept. 11, 2006, page 10) that some traditional TV stations are "trying to tap into the text-messaging craze" by offering number codes for mobile users who want to shoot messages from their phones to the TV screen during certain shows. The messages, visible to all viewers, become part of the show. According to Business Week, the service is big at music channels in Indianapolis, Phoenix and Los Angeles.

There is also the option of a $24.99 per year annual fee. Subscribers need to make use of the 'Wi-Fi TV Virtual Dialer' (powered by AdCalls) to take advantage of the telephony aspect of the offer.
