Awesome-Playing NFL Rookies
Author: Cathy Peterson

Last year, there were some really profound new players drafted
into the NFL. Three of those players are considered the best
rookie group ever. This group of rookies includes Reggie Bush,
Matt Liner, and Vince Young. All three of these rookies played
in the National Championship last year. The one player who
really stands out is Vince Young, who plays for The Tennessee
Titans. In the beginning of the year, Vince Young's team was
not doing too well. Then, toward the middle of the season,
things started to turn around for The Tennessee Titans. This
was due to the fact that Vince Young played like a veteran.

One of the games was against The Indianapolis Colts. The Titans
were behind in the game, and in the 4th quarter Indianapolis's
defense did their thing—nothing. As anyone NFL fan knows, the
Indianapolis Colt's defense doesn't play well at all. Anyway,
this lack of defense allowed the Titans to make a comeback and
beat them in the fourth quarter. That was not the only team
that allowed the Titans to comeback, either. The Giants had
practically won, having beaten the Titans, and had the new
quarterback sacked for a loss. The rusher let the quarterback
go, and he ran it all the way in for a touchdown, and they beat
the Giants, which was in the fourth quarter as well.

So, obviously, many of the new players who come straight out of
college are really good players and have what it takes to play
well in the NFL. There are lots of reasons why many rookies
play so well when they first start out in the NFL. One major
reason is because they are used to giving it all they had while
playing for whatever school they went to. They had to strive to
do the best that they absolutely could in order to be noticed,
and have a chance to get drafted into the NFL. Another reason
why they probably play so well is because they're so young and
full of energy. Furthermore, they are excited about actually
playing professional football instead of college, and the
difference in the salary is astronomical. That alone would be
enough to motivate anyway to do the best that they could at
whatever their talent was. Finally, what about plain, old
talent? Of course these rookies are talented, or they wouldn't
have been drafted in the first place.
