Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson go head to head in 'Bride Wars'.
Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway walk the red carpet in New York
for their new comedy 'Bride Wars'.
Best friends and bitter rivals: Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway play
both in their new female bonding comedy, 'Bride Wars,' which premiered in New
York.
The two Hollywood stars play the closest of friends who are both about to
get married and plan to be each others bride's maids. That is, until they find
their weddings double booked at the same venue on the same day.
The conflicting engagement sees their friendship quickly degenerate into a
catfight of epic proportions.
'Bride Wars' is the first movie produced by Hudson, who said Hathaway was
her first choice for the role of her girlfriend-turned-nemesis.
Actress Kate Hudson saying :
"I think the most fun, I think Annie and I both felt like we could
really make fun of ourselves, you know what I mean. And make fun of the things
that we do and we are and can be. You know girls don't get opportunities to do
that very often. We're always in the boys movie - they get to make fun of
themselves, which I love too. But this is really. This was a special time for
both of us."
Hathaway, who is in the running for a Golden Globe for her role in 'Rachel
Getting Married', agreed that she and Hudson had great chemistry on and off
the screen.
Actress Anne Hathaway saying:
"It was so great. Kate's so warm and accessible so we were able to
really, I think portray two girls that have known each other for ever. And you
know she's such a blast, we just laughed every day on set."
'Bride Wars' hits theatres on January 9.
