Kate Winslet "shocked" at double Globe win, Leonardo DiCaprio prepares for Obama inauguration

With the Oscar nominations out Thursday, film experts predict
Kate Winslet will get the nod, or two, after winning twice at the Golden
Globes. She won Best Actress for Revolutionary Road and Best Supporting
Actress for Nazi drama "The Reader".

Kate Winslet stunned the crowd at the "Revolutionary Road"
premiere in London.

It seems this statement-making dress is all about making sure the American
film academy hears her loud and clear.

Oscar nominations are out on Thursday and after winning twice at the Golden
Globes she has a good chance on garnering two nods.

She says the British press haven't been as nice to her as the Americans
about her speech at the Golden Globes.

In her shock at winning twice, she forgot the name of one of her
co-nominees - one of the most famous women in the world - Angelina Jolie.

Kate Winslet, saying:
"To say that I was shocked would be an understatement, that just
doesn't happen, I mean that just does not happen. And I didn't expect it and
was completely blown away. When Cameron Diaz opened that envelope and was
looking for me I was thinking 'Cameron, you're looking in the wrong direction.
The other women are sitting over there.' I mean I was genuinely, genuinely
shocked."

"Revolutionary Road" is a labour of love for the actress.

She read the novel by Richard Yates about a free-spirited young couple in
the 1950s, struggling to fit into the American dream.

With her husband the Academy-Award winner Sam Mendes directing and one of
her co-star in "Titanic" Leonardo DiCaprio starring opposite, she
set out to get the film made.

DiCaprio describes his character.

Leonardo Dicaprio, saying:
"He wants to make his life different, he's dissatisfied but he just
doesn't have the courage to do it."

The Oscars will take place on February 22 and Winslet admitted that perhaps
she should practice a speech should she repeat her Globe triumph.
