Electro glam rocker Lady Gaga goes to number 1 in the UK charts
after doing the same in the U.S. music charts the day before. Having toppled
Beyonce's "Single Ladies" off the top spot in the U.S. music charts
on Saturday (January 10), Lady Gaga went one better on Sunday (January 11) and
dethroned X Factor winner Alexandra Burke with her version of Leonard Cohen's
"Hallelujah" from the top of the UK's music charts.

A lot of hype has surrounded the 22 year old electro glam rocker
form New York, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta as she is tipped by music
insiders for greatness in 2009.
Her music is a mixture of 80s and synth rock, as is her image. .
The single is nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Recording.
Lady Gaga writes her own material and penned songs for Britney Spears,
New Kids On The Block and The Pussycat Dolls.
Her debut album "The Fame" is out now.
