The latest celebrity news including the script for the upcoming film on
George W. Bush stirs controversy, release of Tom Cruise's latest film pushed
back and Kylie Minogue speaks out on breast cancer.

Oliver Stone's upcoming feature "W" is already creating
controversy even before a single frame has been shot. The film's script, based
on George W. Bush's years in the White House, reportedly portrays the sitting
U.S. President as a foul-mouthed, reformed drunk, obsessed with baseball,
Saddam Hussein and the conflicted relationship with his dad. The controversy
is over the accuracy of that depiction. Reactions to the script from Bush
biographers have been mixed. Filming starts in two weeks.

The release of "Valkyrie," starring Tom Cruise as a World War II
German officer, has been pushed back for a second time. The film, originally
slated for a summer release, is now set to open in February. United Artists,
the studio headed up by Cruise, says the release date changes are good, others
in Hollywood are not so sure.

British rock star Pete Doherty was jailed on Tuesday for 14 weeks for
breaching terms of his probation. The sentence forces the singer to reschedule
a number of performances. The 29-year-old former flame of Kate Moss has had a
well-publicized battle with drug abuse.

Kylie Minogue says her breast cancer was initially misdiagnosed. The
39-year-old singer, appearing on the Ellen Degeneres talk show, encouraged
other woman to consider getting a second opinion.

The life and times of Pamela Anderson, the thrice-married former Playboy
model and "Baywatch" star, will be featured in a new
documentary-style show on E! television. The half-hour series, called simply
"Pamela," is set to air on this summer.

Lastly, French icon Jean Paul Belmondo is celebrating a birthday. The
one-time darling of new wave cinema and star of "Breathless" turns
an unbelievable 75.
