Winners of the Femina Miss India Contest 2008 held in India's showbiz
capital Mumbai said that they felt on top of the world, the experience had
been an extremely enriching one and paved the way for their participation in
international events.

Exhilarated winners of the Femina Miss India Contest 2008 at Mumbai
in India's western Mumbai city described their experience as top of the world
and an extremely enriching one and said they were ready to participate in the
international pageants.
Simran Kaur Mundi was crowned Femina Miss India Universe 2008 at a
glittering contest held in Mumbai on Saturday. (April 05) Parvathy Omankuttan
was named Miss India World 2008 while Harshita Saxena was chosen Miss India
Earth 2008.
"The experience was very good. It was an experience that every girl
envies. It was an overwhelming feeling . I felt I was on top of the world,
sorry top of the Universe," said Simran Kaur Mundi, Miss India
Universe.
The event saw India's top 29 beautiful contestants battling it out for the
three most prestigious titles.
The contestants walking the ramp in dazzling ensembles mesmerised the
audience.
"This experience was great and the learning process during the 21 days
of training that we got has changed our personality completely and we are
preparing ourselves for the international pageant," said Parvathy
Omankuttan, Miss India World.
The show was hosted by India's regional actor, R Madhavan. The evening
witnessed scintillating performances by Bollywood divas Kareena Kapoor,
Bipasha Basu and Sameera Reddy.
