Bajan singer Rihanna treated a select few to a brief concert performance during the launch of Swarovski's new signature line

PARIS, FRANCE (FEBRUARY 28, 2008) (REUTERS) - As Paris Fashion Week nears its end and the Eiffel Tower sparkles like a huge crystal itself, a select few on Thursday evening (February 28), were treated to a one-off performance by Rihanna at the showcase of crystal jeweller Swarovski. Swarovski launched their new collection with their new swanflower signature pattern.

Also amongst the VIP guests was American actress Vivica A. Fox who had been to most fashion shows this week.

On arrival, she spoke to Reuters Television about her time in the French fashion capital:

"This is my last night here and I have just had a 'magnifique' time. It's just been fabulous, the fashions have been amazing, the hospitality unbelievable . Last night I got to have my picture taken in front of the Eiffel Tower while it was sparkling with my girlfriends and it's just been fabulous.It's everything that I thought fashion week should be in Paris."

And as for shopping? "I did some drive-bys. I bought some Versace outfit that wasn't available in The States that I'm gonna call back tomorrow and have purchased for me and shipped to The States", she said.

Rihanna arrived for her one-off performance in a top exclusively made for her by Swarovski. The singer did not want to answer any questions and disappeared quickly to get ready for her show. She then treated invited guests to 20 minutes of songs, amongst them being her debut single 'Rescue Me' and smash hit 'Umbrella'.
