How Well Do You Know Your ``Friends''?; New Scene It?(R) DVD Game
Tests Players' Knowledge of the Hit ``Friends'' Television Series

EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 18, 2006--Just how well do
fans know their "Friends"? Remember when Joey got a Thanksgiving
turkey stuck on his head? The Scene It?(R) Friends DVD game includes
all of the hilarious classic moments and escapades of Chandler,
Monica, Ross and the rest of the "Friends" gang. It challenges
players' knowledge with images and clips as they answer trivia
questions and race around the board to win. Mattel, Inc. (NYSE:MAT)
has teamed up with Screenlife, LLC, the creator of Scene It?(R), the
first-ever DVD-based board game, and Warner Bros. Consumer Products to
create this exciting addition to the award-winning lineup of Scene
It?(R) DVD games.

Players compete in Scene It?(R) Friends with questions such as, "Which
of Phoebe's songs is made into a music video and eventually a
commercial jingle?" "What is Joey's signature pick-up line?" and "Who
was the only 'Friends' star to direct several episodes?" Scene It?(R)
Friends contains more than a thousand scenes, stars, images and trivia
challenges from all 10 seasons of the hit comedy series.

Card-based questions come in three categories named in the style of
"Friends" episodes -- "The One with the Details," "The One with All
the Dialogue" and "The One with the Pop Culture." "Details" questions
ask the who, what, when, where and why of "Friends," "Dialogue"
questions ask who said what and "Pop Culture" questions ask about
items in popular culture related to "Friends" episodes and cast
members.

"We are excited to bring 'Friends' back into living rooms nationwide,"
said Matthew Turetzky, vice president, marketing, interactive and
youth electronics, Mattel Brands. "The trivia questions and visual
puzzles of Scene It? Friends combine the energy of the show with
'friendly' competition."

"Players can relive 'Friends' moments through game play," said Karen
McTier, executive vice president, domestic licensing and worldwide
marketing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. "Scene It? Friends adds
a new aspect of entertainment to the award-winning Friends sitcom
series."

"Scene It? Friends extends the life of a pop culture phenomenon,
transforming it into an interactive entertainment experience," said
Dave Long, co-founder and CEO of Screenlife. "'Friends' fans will find
it addictive."

DVD-based questions include "My Play" or "All Play" options, which
launch clips and puzzles on the players' TV screen. The proprietary
Optreve(R) technology, exclusive to Scene It?(R) games, randomizes
"Friends" clips for a different version of the game every time, and a
Flextime(R) game board allows time-constrained friends and families to
play a quick game on the fly or opt to unfold the game board for a
longer, more complete game experience.

Scene It?(R) Friends is currently available nationwide and has a
manufacturer's suggested retail price of $39.99.

Scene It?(R) games are recognized as family-friendly with great value
and innovative game play. In February 2005, Scene It?(R) TV was named
the prestigious 2005 Toy Industry Association's Toy of the Year award
winner in the Game of the Year category. Scene It?(R) has garnered
many other awards, including: the Ultimate Toy Award; the 2005
Children's Choice Award; FamilyFun Magazine's 13th Annual Toy of the
Year Award; Toy Industry Association's Toy Wishes "All-Star;"
