Tommy Hilfiger teams up with Sony BMG Europe to launch Tommy TV
- a new website giving young musicians the chance to peform in a global jam
session with some of the music industry's best artists.

Meet Tommy Hilfiger's latest venture.

French pop duo "One-Two" may not be a household name.

But they've already played with one of the most successful hip-hop artists
and producers today - Wycleff Jean.

The fashion designer known for his preppy, all-American clothes is taking
on the world wide web.

Partnering with Sony BMG, Tommy TV showcases live gigs all around the
world.

Hilfiger's clothes were once the uniform of the hip-hop community and says
fashion, like pop music, is all about change.

Tommy Hilfiger, saying:
"As a rock star, you need to be able to re-invent yourself if you
are to remain relevant and that applies to both your music and your
style."

French duo "One-Two" hopes to be early beneficiary of the this
new technology.

But the quirky twosome say like many of their musical peers, the internet
is their main marketing tool.

Severin, singer of French Band "One-Two", saying:
"We always use MySpace so there's not a real big difference between
real tv and internet. It's the same kind of promotion and the same
tool."

Seemingly everyday it seems a new music platform is being launched as the
traditional music industry model falls by the wayside.

But the CEO of Sony BMG Europe says he hopes Tommy TV will set a new
standard amongst its counterparts.

Sony BMG CEO of Europe Maarten Steinkamp, saying:
"It is about marketing and about prioritization because consumers
cannot absorb a hundred million tracks that are out there on the web so what
we try to do is get some prioritization in the system."

Whether Tommy TV will be successful will depend on whether Hilfiger has an
ear for music as he does and eye for fashion.
