RSA 2006 -- ZoneAlarm Forensics Specialist to Offer Tips on Digital
Crime Fighting
RSA Conference 2006
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 10, 2006--Zone Labs, a Check
Point Software Technologies company (NASDAQ:CHKP), today announced
that senior ZoneAlarm security analyst Jon Orbeton will brief IT
executives at RSA Conference 2006 on defending their corporate assets
while helping the FBI and other law enforcement officers crack digital
crimes.

In a session titled "Working with Law Enforcement: When a Computer
Holds the Key to the Case," Orbeton will discuss computer forensic
methodology, how a security vendor can assist a customer when they
have been attacked, and how a company can help the FBI, detectives and
other law enforcement officials after their network has been
compromised. He will also outline new ways to expand an investigation
by correlating data from one system to many by creating an attack
profile to track a hacker's path beyond the compromised PC. Orbeton's
session is scheduled for Feb. 16 at 4:50 p.m. in the San Jose
Convention Center -- Ballroom A3, San Jose, Calif.

"Overlooking even a small, seemingly insignificant bit of digital
evidence can change the outcome of a case," Orbeton said. "In digital
investigations, by creating a digital profile of the attack pattern,
investigators can uncover previously undiscovered evidence -- often
changing the course of the investigation."

Cyber crime has cast a perpetual shadow over the security landscape.
The Department of Homeland Security's National Cyber Security Division
is expected to spend $25 million by 2007 to combat the rise in cyber
terrorism. New penalty laws often require that IT departments work
with law enforcement officials on high-profile crimes involving
digital clues.
